If you have ever stayed at The Cape, a Thompson Hotel or visited either the Lobby Bar or The Rooftop then you know their craft cocktails cannot be missed.
Here’s the how-to on one of their favorite cocktails of all time and a Cape signature – made with mezcal, mint, basil, and all sorts of delicious!
Ingredients:
• 1 ½ oz mezcal with mint and basil (see below for further directions)
• 2 oz pineapple juice
• 1 oz grapefruit juice
• ½ oz lemon juice
• ½ oz agave honey
Directions:
Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake
Serve on the rocks and garnish with 3 drops of narrow bitter and a dried pineapple
Mezcal with mint and basil
In a blender add:
• 3oz of mezcal (for 2 cocktails)
• Fresh mint (1/4 bunch)
• Fresh basil (1/4 bunch)
• Blend for 15 seconds
Strain the mixture until smooth
